- I. Project Design and Analysis
The design, concept and architectural plans have been outsourced from one of the finest Architects Office in Chania.
The proposed project, idea and concept, was derived from a thorough market research about ‘What product is more sellable’ in the current market ? Our development plot of 1400m² which it’s situated in the settlement of the Municipality of Platanias, and it’s on a parallel road of the main road of Platanias, it borders with a road both on its south and east side that will serve the access to the future residences. The beach is easily accessible through a pedestrian street on the north side of the plot.
The proposed project includes the design of ten Apartments with communal swimming pool and landscaped gardens. Every Apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms (including one shower), separate kitchen, living room, and covered verandas as well as open veranda.
For the construction purpose, the plot will be divided into two even plots and buildings up to 400m², and build five small blocks. Each block is consisted of the ground floor and first floor, one residence on each level thus achieving privacy of living.
Every residence enjoys internally 80sq.m. of covered areas, plus covered balcony and open veranda too.
The project offers BBQ area, communal swimming pool, parking space for every apartment by its entrance, open sitting area by the pool.
The access to the staircases and the communal swimming pool is made through two main entrances, one on the north and the other on the east side of the plot. The open space on the west side of the pool is designed using roofs of light construction combined with textile. In this way we achieve an easy movement established around the pool and the comfort of some covered area.
The design of the project aims to create privacy for every residence and to create a common composition in the means of design and functionality. Every apartment enjoys spacious rooms consisted of living room, kitchen and dining area, two bedrooms, one bathroom and one shower (including an en suite bedroom). We designed big openings in the common areas, so that to have functional connection between the inside and outside areas, while aiming to offer private outdoors for each bedroom.
The communal landscaped gardens will add the right ambience and aesthetics of the project, planting carefully every corner and free areas with local trees and plants, flowers, using earthy materials and deco.
